HAROLD

Today we visited Harold the giraffe. We were learning about social relationships. I have never seen Harold before so I was excited. After that we played a game that included bucket fillers and bucket dippers. Bucket fillers were helpful and bucket dippers were mean. We had to pick a card and see if it was mean or helpful. After we watched a video of Billy goes to school. Billy didn't want to go to this new school but he had to because his mum moved to Wellington.

Museum Trip

Last week we had a trip to the Whanganui Museum to learn about Puanga and the stars. We went into the cosmodome and flew through space. It was a great adventure!

In Room 1 we got to be teachers. We had to teach a friend how to play a new math game.

$5 For Nepal

At Carlton School we had a challenge day last Friday. We were raising money for the people of Nepal. In our class we had to persist and run for 10 minutes without stopping if we could. It was hard and some of us had to stop because we got really tired. We enjoyed the challenge and we think that it was for a very good cause. Our school raised nearly $1000 dollars!

Hockey Lessons!

We began our hockey lessons last week. We learnt how to hold the stick properly and also how to pass the ball. We had a game and as you can see it was great practicing what we had learnt.

ELEPHANTS

My favourite animals are elephants. I like them because even though they are huge, they look very gentle.

I would love to be an elephant because they are the largest land animal in the world and have a very good memory.

Playing Football

Room 1 and Room 3 played football. We had mixed teams. Rooms 1 and 3 had a really fun time.
