AUTUMN TREES

In He Puna Oranga (Room 4) we used paint and cotton buds to create an Autumn tree. We chose colours that were like the leaves that we had collected from around our school. We think that they look just like trees in Autumn.

Making sentences!

One of our HOLT (Hands on Learning Time) activities has been to make sentences and read them to a buddy. Cayenne made an enormously long sentence and read it to his buddy! You are a star Cayenne.

My Structure

In our Inquiry we have been learning about lots of different structures. This is Tuhua's writing about a structure he belongs to.

CREATING COLLAGE MONARCH BUTTERFLIES

In our class we were practicing writing the letter M. For our art learning investigation we created collage monarch butterflies because monarch begins with the letter M. We had to try to make both wings the same. It was quite tricky. We are going to make a display in our classroom using our butterflies.

Our Cultural Assembly

Last week we had a special cultural assembly to celebrate all the different cultures within our school. We have all the flags displayed in our hall and they look amazing. This is Rakitha and he was born in Sri Lanka and is in our class at Carlton School.

Busy Learning New Things!

In Room 4 we have been learning a lot of new things. Some of us were making sentences using word blocks and we have started creating our Koru Families for Art. Making the koru shapes was very tricky!

Welcome to Room 4, Carlton School, Whanganui. This is our new classroom and this is us! We have been really busy getting to know each other but as you can see we are a very happy bunch.
