This week at Carlton School Room 1 walked over to the court and played tennis. It was really fun but first we had to build the nets. It was really hard but somehow we did it. I don't know how but we did do it. My buddy was Troy and we had loads of fun. First we had to hit the ball with a tennis racket but Troy and I went a bit over the top. We hit the ball really hard but don't worry it didn't go on the roof, luckily it didn't. Finally we said goodbye and walked back to class. It was really fun and I want to do it again.

MAKING OOBLECK!
We had such a fun time making oobleck with Mrs Waite!!!! We couldn't decide if it was a solid or a liquid because it kept changing. We got in a real mess but once it dried on us we could just brush it off. We really enjoyed the experience.

HAROLD
Today we visited Harold the giraffe. We were learning about social relationships. I have never seen Harold before so I was excited. After that we played a game that included bucket fillers and bucket dippers. Bucket fillers were helpful and bucket dippers were mean. We had to pick a card and see if it was mean or helpful. After we watched a video of Billy goes to school. Billy didn't want to go to this new school but he had to because his mum moved to Wellington.

$5 For Nepal
At Carlton School we had a challenge day last Friday. We were raising money for the people of Nepal. In our class we had to persist and run for 10 minutes without stopping if we could. It was hard and some of us had to stop because we got really tired. We enjoyed the challenge and we think that it was for a very good cause. Our school raised nearly $1000 dollars!

Blogging Challenge Week 5 - Favourite Animal
ELEPHANTS
My favourite animals are elephants. I like them because even though they are huge, they look very gentle.
I would love to be an elephant because they are the largest land animal in the world and have a very good memory.
What are the names of the different types of elephants in the world?

Hand Painting with our Room 15 Buddies!
Our buddies from Room 15 came and helped us paint our hands for our class treaty. We chose whether we wanted to make our hand prints into a fish or an octopus. It was great fun and our class treaty looks amazing.

Welcome Back To The Splash Zone
Welcome to our Blog. We have had a busy start to the week learning all about our class and each other. We made sea creatures with our Room 15 buddies, created a page using words and pictures about ourselves, completed a Blob tree and lots more interesting things in just 2 days! We had our first swim today in our school pool which was lovely and cool.
